It’s easy to take a good look at the city’s famed Christmas tree from above. Visitors to the city can take advantage of a rare opportunity to get a memorable glimpse of snowy Vilnius from a hot air balloon, or have a cocktail at an elevation of 165 metres. Check out the city’s highest spots and enjoy a different perspective of Lithuania’s capital.
Climb the Cathedral Bell Tower, one of the oldest and tallest towers in the Old Town, and see the Christmas Tree from a different angle 52 metres above the street level.
Don’t hesitate to climb the Hill of the Three Crosses to check out the beautiful panorama of the Old Town. About 70 metres high, the hill offers a great view of Gediminas’ Castle, the most famous object in Vilnius.
For the best view of the city with a cocktail in hand, go up to the Skybar at the Radisson SAS Blue. Sitting in a comfy chair on the 22nd floor, you can watch the River Neris flow by and see the entire Old Town at your feet.
Want to get even higher? Go to the highest building in Lithuania. The TV Tower cafe is located at 165 metres above ground and it rotates 360 degrees every hour, so you can see all of Vilnius without even moving.
